Aunt Ann’s Caregivers are available 365 days a year, from 2 to 24 hours per day. Our in home care scheduling is flexible and designed to meet each client’s unique needs for home health care services. We tailor our services to match the right caregiver to each situation, taking into consideration their experience, skills, training and personality characteristics. Staffing can be scheduled on an hourly or live in basis.
Over the years we have found that caregiver job titles change, but the same skills, experience, and training are required for the different levels of care a person may need to remain in their home and maintain their dignity. Homemaker / Companions
(Home Care Aide 1)
Who would hire a homemaker/companion? Typically, people recovering from a minor illness, or those that require minimal assistance to remain safely at home, may receive these services. Basic services can include:
- Meal planning, preparation and shopping
- Escort services
- Laundry and light housekeeping
- Observing, monitoring and reporting a client’s condition
- Maintaining a safe and secure environment
- Providing activities to increase independence
Personal Care Attendant / Nurse’s Aide
(Home Care Aide 2)
Who would hire a personal care attendant/nurse’s aide? People who have had strokes, heart problems, serious surgeries or are recovering from a serious illness require the skills provided by our Personal Care Attendant/Nurses Aide. In addition to performing the duties of a Homemaker/Companion, this professional performs the following:
- Preparing a special diet & assisting with feeding
- Assisting with bathing, dressing, hair care and grooming
- Monitoring and reporting skin condition
- Monitoring food and fluid intake
- Assisting with toileting and monitoring elimination
- Assisting with ambulation and transfers
Certified Nurse’s Aide / Certified Home Health Aide
(Home Care Aide 3)
Who would hire a certified nurse’s aide/certified home health aide? These services are for clients who choose to be at home for intensive rehabilitation or are very sick. These professionals are qualified to carry out the duties of a Homemaker/Companion, Personal Care Attendant/Nurses Aide as well as
- Assist with exercises and rehabilitation activities
- Empty and care for the catheter or colostomy bag
- Assist with special assistive devices (i.e. canes, walkers, wheelchairs, artificial limbs)
- Assist with simple procedures as directed by the plan of care
- Identify and report signs and symptoms needing attention.
We also understand that high quality care needs to be delivered on a budget. As a locally owned, independent business, we’re committed to meeting your needs within your budget and can offer you many staffing options.
Our Home Care Caregivers are our Employees and we pay their payroll, payroll taxes, social security and medicare tax, and unemployment insurance. Our staff also have worker’s compensation insurance, professional and general liability insurance and are bonded. Our caregivers are supervised with planned visits, surprise visits (that are pre-approved by our clients) and phone calls on an ongoing basis by our nursing staff to ensure the highest standard of care.
Our office is available 24 hours 7 days a week to ensure that the needs of our caregiver employees and our clients are met.
